Security
Armed with pistols and rifles, they threaten the main corridors and security areas.
The White Face Virus has spread. The Anti-Crime Alliance was sent to the hospital after a report of a cure. The mission ended in an ambush. Now you wake alone, deep in the lower ground floor.
It began with a trial intended to restore skin pigmentation. No one expected the treatment to create a new disease, or its first sign to be a change in appearance alone.
In the game's alternate reality, a research team develops an experimental vitiligo treatment. The trial goes wrong, giving rise to the White Face Virus: a new, fictional infection distinct from the original skin condition.
White areas spread across the fictional virus's hosts. They continue speaking, working and living normally. There is no aggression or unusual laughter. At this stage, no one recognises the threat behind the visible signs.
The new signs arrive gradually: unpredictable reactions, bursts of laughter and a loss of control. The appearance that had become familiar now conceals an entirely different danger. This is a new phase of the White Face Virus, not a feature of vitiligo.
The first violent incidents become a worldwide crisis. The hospital reports a cure, but falls before it can be distributed. The ACA is sent inside. This is where your mission begins.
Story note: the virus and trial are fictional. Real vitiligo is not caused by an infection and is not contagious. About vitiligo — NHS ↗
